Let’s send Oprah on a RedBalloon experience

The Team at RedBalloon take our hats off to the folks at Tourism Australia for successfully negotiating the visit of Oprah Winfrey along with 300 of her audience members to Australia in December.

This representas a massive opportunity for Australian to showcase our treasures to international audiences. Managing Director of Tourism Australia Andrew McEvoy estimated in 2009 “international visitors would have injected around $25 billion in to the Australian economy”*

The Oprah Winfrey show is watched by about 9 million people daily in the US and the Oprah Show is screened in 145 countries. The international coverage of her visit will be huge as well. This is great for Aussie businesses to be involved in.

RedBalloon is on a mission to convince Tourism Australia that RedBalloon can help make Oprah’s Australian Adventure an unforgettable experience.  So we took to the streets to gauge public support for our cause.

Who’d like to see Oprah go sky diving? or ride on a Harley Past Uluru? Some might even like to see if she’s got the guts to go Shark Diving or rally driving with an Aussie celeb? Or maybe she should learn how to cook a good old Aussie Barbie! We have more than 2,000 experiences and over 900 suppliers Australia wide that have what it takes to really rock the socks off Oprah and her audience.

    Great Idea. She would most enjoy the Aboriginal Blue Mountains Walkabout because she loves spirit, culture,
    nature, and fitness.
