After visiting the Gift Fair, Alysha wants to give you a sneak peak at some new RedBalloon Gift Boxes…
800 stalls, 2 days & lots of new ideas for RedBalloon Gift Boxes!
It starts with a 7:15am flight from Sydney to Melbourne, a swing by the Cullen Hotel in South Melbourne to drop off the bags and pick up my partner in crime – Kasey. With a much needed coffee in hand we head to the Melbourne Exhibition Centre which is only Part 1 of Australia’s Leading Gift and Homewares Trade Fair.
Our first stop – a lady who “doesn’t believe in selling products online”, so with a smile on our faces and a polite “ok” we move right along!
As we start walking up and down the aisles I begin to feel like we have wandered into the markets, but Kasey assures me the best is yet to come…
We spot a familiar face… It’s Donna Hay for Royal Doulton and we think her cake stands are just beautiful!
Next to Donna Hay we discover Royal Albert who immediately inspire us with a new idea for a gift box – High Tea at Home.
When we finish at the Exhibition Centre, we dash across the road for a quick bite to eat before heading off to venue #2 of the trade fair, The Melbourne Showgrounds.
Here we find one of our favourite chocolate / lolly suppliers, Freckleberry. They are doing the delicious treats that make up our new Lolly Shop in a Box which is launching this week! Here is a sneak peak…
And we thought these little guys were cute… DIY herb garden by Roots Designer Garden Kits. All you need to do is add water!
This is just a tiny snapshot of all the amazing things we saw at the Trade Fair. So watch this space- Gift Boxes will be launching lots of new & exciting products in the coming months
