Amused Bouche
Our Project Manager Pete recently dined out with an eight course degustation delight. I’m a self-confessed foodie. I don’t mean that I’m a contender for Masterchef or a sophisticated epicure… I just LOVE food! So when I purchased my friend Alex the 8 Course Degustation Dinner – For 2 for her birthday it wasn’t an [...]
I Heart Sydney
Our Employee Experience Assistant Cat is celebrating her one year anniversary next month – not with her boyfriend, but with Sydney. Giving up a job on a super yacht that travels around the world to exotic places was not easy, but almost one year ago that’s exactly what I did. After celebrating my 30th birthday [...]
Seas the day
The guys love what they do (I mean, who wouldn’t with Sydney Harbour as an office!) and have a great sense of humour, which made the day that much more enjoyable. They make you feel at ease – we felt like we were sailing with a bunch of mates. We got to soak up all the iconic sites Sydney offers from the Harbour, a view we should all enjoy more often.
What does happiness mean to you?
Happiness… Where do I even begin to start with such a diverse word? It means many different things to many different people. Is it your wedding day? Is it that fleeting moment when you realise you’ve successfully won a bid on EBay? Is it sightseeing some of the remote corners of the Earth? Is it watching cat videos on YouTube until the wee hours of the morning?
The truth is there is no right or wrong answer.
On your bike
Having grown up on the Northern Beaches I’ve spent plenty of time over the years enjoying Manly’s beaches, cafés and restaurants. In saying, I couldn’t remember the last time I made my way up to North Head to check out the view or to Collins beach for a swim.
A five star RedBalloon experience
Our Finance Director Linda reviews a rather perculiar experience – her employment!
Get “Clojure” with Klaus
When we asked our Software Engineer Klaus to describe his typical work day, he said… “I wake up, eat raisin toast, check my emails, check our internal work blog, write code, write more code, eat lunch, write some more code, check Facebook, write more code and then go home.” If you eat code for breakfast [...]
Six months of RedBalloon fun!
This is a snapshot of Kylie Croot’s time with the RedBalloon for Corporate team… Over the past six months, I have: Dressed up as an elf with my wonderful colleague Emma. We handed out Xmas flyers in Martin Place, which has been one of the highlights of my job so far (not because I love dressing up [...]
Lions and Tiger and Bears..and Butterflies. Oh My!
Ben Upton’s review of his trip to the Zoo. After working over Xmas, I felt it was time for a well-earned break. In late January, I decided to take a short trip down to Bendigo to see some family with my wife. How can you go to Victoria though, without spending some time in Melbourne. [...]

Expresso Yourself
In the IT world, developers are considered “organisms who turn coffee into code”, but for some reason I’m the exception. I’ve always been curious about coffee though, so I asked my fellow team mates why they love it and how they can tell a good cup from an bad one. Different members of the team gave me different answers, so I decided to take my curiosity to a three hours barista course.
