High Octane Experience
On the weekend I was treated to octane fumes, snarling V8s, dusty crashes and some cool behind the scenes access at the V8 supercars.
On your bike
Having grown up on the Northern Beaches I’ve spent plenty of time over the years enjoying Manly’s beaches, cafés and restaurants. In saying, I couldn’t remember the last time I made my way up to North Head to check out the view or to Collins beach for a swim.
My new favourite thing at RedBalloon…
I have lots of favourite things to do at RedBalloon: creating the perfect RedBalloon event; listening to Bruno Mars on repeat on Spotify; group interviews; sharing giggles (make that endless giggles) with my colleagues; and the newest addition to this list is hanging our with our book club.
The (Dim) Sum of our Experiences
On Sunday my good friend Jenny and I went along to a RedBalloon cooking class. We’ve always been huge fans of Yum Cha, a regular dining experience that brings our families together.
Use it or lose it
I’ve pledged a commitment online to improve my mental and physical health by trying new experiences. Research shows certain lifestyle and health factors are good for the brain, body and heart and can help reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s.
Gliding into a new perspective
As I scoured over the thousands of different experiences the RedBalloon website offers I was mesmerised about seeing the world I live in from a different angle. That changing my external perspective would help shift my internal one. I had to go gliding.
Horse riding in Centennial Park
We love horse riding and we had never been to Centennial Park. I am not sure why. My parents grew up in the Surry Hills area and first lived on the park when they first were married. I had heard so much of it growing up, yet here I was mid-thirties experiencing it for the first time.
Hobby shopping on a kayak
I had been wanting to try kayaking for ages. My last attempt was ten years ago when Steve and I were on our honeymoon, but I pretty much sat in the back of it slacking off while he did all the work. (Luckily not an omen for our marriage.)
A five star RedBalloon experience
Our Finance Director Linda reviews a rather perculiar experience – her employment!

What does happiness mean to you?
Happiness… Where do I even begin to start with such a diverse word? It means many different things to many different people. Is it your wedding day? Is it that fleeting moment when you realise you’ve successfully won a bid on EBay? Is it sightseeing some of the remote corners of the Earth? Is it watching cat videos on YouTube until the wee hours of the morning?
The truth is there is no right or wrong answer.
